Hi, I’m Himasha Janothmi, and I’m excited to share my journey completing the BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at BIET, affiliated with UWE Bristol. After finishing my HND, I researched top-up degrees in Sri Lanka and chose BIET because of its high university ranking and excellent support. From the start, I had an academic coordinator, Mr. Imraaz, who was always there to help. The lecturers were knowledgeable and encouraging, guiding us through assignments and real-world applications. The lab facilities were great, and while I couldn’t participate in extracurricular activities, I know that A/L students get a full university experience here. What stood out to me was the personal support from the staff. I faced personal challenges during my studies, but thanks to Ms. Maithree and Mr. Imraaz, I was motivated to push through. BIET’s support didn’t stop after graduation; they continue to guide us in our careers. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have studied BSc (Hons) in Construction Project Management at the British Institute of Engineering and Technology, affiliated with the University of the West of England. The program provided me with an exceptional foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical applications within the construction industry.
