Digital Design

Design, modelling and implementation of digital systems through the use of Hardware Description Languages (HDL).

 

Control

Control is a module that is designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge, with practical exercises to form the link between the theory and techniques and the real engineering world.

Signal Processing and Circuits

The Signal Processing and Circuits module focuses on analyzing, processing, and transmitting signals in electrical systems. Students learn theoretical foundations, practical methods, and software tools for signal processing.

Energy Technologies

This module focuses on principles and practice of a number of conventional and renewable power generation systems including technical, economic, environmental and political considerations.

Digital Signal Processing

This is an introductory course to linear digital signal processing (DSP). It provides the students with basic knowledge in the field by introducing the necessary theoretical concepts

Control Systems Design

This module develops students’ ability to design and analyse complex and modern dynamic system modelling and control plus MATLAB/Simulink enhance simulation demonstrations.

Materials for Semiconductors

This module will cover the different properties (electrical, optical, and magnetic) of electronic materials in relation to their importance in the semiconductor industry and their technological applications

Power Electronics

This module provides advanced and comprehensive understanding of technical content in the field of power electronics and transmission that builds upon scientific and engineering principles.

Engineering Project

The Engineering Project module provides the opportunity for a student to undertake a detailed individual research project, demonstrating subject knowledge, project management skills and awareness of the ethical and environmental impact of their work.
